Adilfa Ford is the owner and president of Don Polo Photography Inc. She was born on a small farm in Venezuela and raised by her grandparents. She married Russ, an expert in computers, and together they have 3 children. Like most mothers, she wanted beautiful photos of her children but she would sometimes argue with Russ because the kids were too small in the photo. He finally suggested that she learn to take the photos herself so that every detail would be perfect. And so she did.
Today Adilfa is a world-renowned photographer, educator, and PPA approved juror for international print competitions. Her dynamic personality and attention to detail make her one of the finest portrait artists in the intermountain west. Adilfa is a past president of the Intermountain Professional Photographer’s Association (IPPA). She currently represents the state of Utah on the PPA Council and served as an International Committee Member for 4 years. For the last 8 years, she has been a medalist in the international print competition. She is a Certified Professional Photographer and has been awarded the Photographic Craftsman and Master of Photography degree by Professional Photographers of America. Adilfa has also been the recipient of the coveted Professional Photographers of America’s National Award given for exceptional dedication and service to the photographic industry. She currently serves on the Heart Gallery committee to promote adoption through professional photography.
